Heya, I was wondering when the linux version was set for release? I haven't been able to find the date anywhere so I wasn't sure if it was decided yet or if it's still needing a ton of work. Either way I can't wait to play it on linux!

Well hello there.

I've been artistically reclusive recently--and a bit reclusive in general. Mostly because I haven't had much Starbound stuff to be posting on the forums for a while now.

But! I've been having some ideas for Starbound comic-artsy-doo-dads. So, here they are!

As with all I do, the goal is practice, so these might be low-ish quality or sketches. But hey, sketching is better than not sketching!

You don't have to write an essay like how I did in the Sebastian thread (huehueheue), but it was incredibly fun and I just really want to know why you guys have the favorites you do. It doesn't have to be inherently complicated, but feel free to talk about it!

So, tell me why your favorite has become your favorite. It could be a marriage candidate or just a non-marriageable NPC. I know I've made a topic like this before but people's opinions change and it's always fun to discuss!

Beamdown point floating island above ancient gate

In a newly generated game, the beamdown point for the starting world is a floating island right above the ancient gate; the island is high enough that jumping off will kill the player without admin mode. The log file contained no warning or error messages about placing "dungeon gardengate".

The world's coordinates is 868409192:-743125062:25507222:11.

I love Stardew Valley but, as a homebrewer, it just hurts me a little inside to know that the standard "beer" in the game is made with wheat! Wheat beer is fine, but whatever happened to barley??? That's what most beer is made out of, after all! :D

Also, give us a malt kiln so we can roast our malted grains to make dark beers too!

And let us add flowers & fruit! I want to brew a pumpkin ale!

Being able to build a brew shed (or any kind of shed for that matter) would be real cool too....

Man, I wish the beer making was a bit more detailed...

Last night, i was meandering about the starbound wiki when i noticed a few things, specifically with cave art for the floran party mission. Some of the racial inspection quotes sparked my interest.

I can't teleport to the outpost at all. The gate teleport doesn't work, teleporter book markes don't work either. The command /warp instanceworld:eek:utpost also does not work. Any ideas?

something ive been wondering for a while. judging by its picture it looks like a fish tackle (with the hooks atached to it), but it is classified as bait and actually used up after one use and equipped into the bait slot of the fishing rod.

the crafting price also makes me question if its intended. i know treasure chests are great, but youd need to smelt about 50 iron bars to get you through a single day of fishing.

i cant imagine the return would be worth the investment.

S.A.I.L is sleeping constantly

So I've been trying out the nightly builds to get hyped for 1.0, but everytime I start a new character S.A.I.L won't talk to me. He just keeps saying zzz..zzz. View attachment 154170

There is no way for me to even teleport down to the planet ( or I need to go in admin mode).

Anyone got any idea's how I can maybe fix this ( or skip the first introduction mission )
