I don't know if I'll finish this, but I'd like to try to draw most of the characters of SDV. As much as I love Sebastian, I think he tends to be a favorite within fan art. So I wanna try to give others some love, too. (And hopefully do a height chart at some point).

Best Starting Approach?

Hello,

I've put in just a few hours so far, and i'd like to get some feedback on what everyone thinks is the best method for making money when starting a new game.

so far i've started with foraging while waiting for crops to grow.. not making much money doing this as good selling crops seem to take forever to grow, and foraging seems to have very little money making value vs the time it takes to explore the map for the items. I have also not even attempted crafting/cooking yet as i don't...

Hey all! I've been working on a expansion to the desert map. It's fully compatible with all other mods that don't modify any of the base warps in the Desert! I will eventually be adding a few new maps, npcs and more once I learn how/as soon as it's possible to do so efficiently. I'm open to suggestions, but I will most likely not be doing any major edits to the original desert location, just the areas surrounding it. Let me know what you think!

Version 1.3.8 requires both ALL and SMAPI!...

Tons of people build barns just to put their kegs inside. This seems like an easy thing to turn into reality without needing to labor to cover up all the hay.

I basically decided the simplest way to do this is with a Slime Hutch retexture, since adding buildings is difficult (or impossible??), and a lot of people (me) really don't like the slime hut aesthetic. I also tried my best to match this to Vanilla. If anyone has the capacity to add a new option to Robin's build menu, please let me...

Hellooo, currently I'm following a course about medieval literature in university and that's how I kinda came up with these buildings. I wanted to make them messy, so that's why I added moss all over the walls. Also the pink door is the modern twist, so yea.

All Food Items Heal The Same Amount?

The wiki says all food items heal 75% max health over 90 seconds. This seems like it's squandering a mechanic with a lot of potential.

Shouldn't there be more options that players who want to focus on farming/cooking/buffs can choose from? Why aren't there food items that heal a lot all at once, like the bandages, or ones that apply a weak health regen effect with a really long duration?

And for that matter, why does every food item that gives bonus...

Grappling hooks dont feel good to usee

there have been many changes to starbound that I didnt like, but I got used to most of them

not the grappling hook change. back in koala the grappling hook was great, it was smooth, you could build momentum, gain altitude, swing yourself around a single block and retract the cord and go CRAZY unwinding it

but not since giraffe. the grappling hook only seems to extend/retract several blocks at a time (very often I have taken fall damage but lightly tapping the down button) and its...
