While playing the game today (just completed all the bundles), I started thinking about just how silly some of the gaming aspects are. For example, I always find it hilarious how Pelican Town doesn't have the funds in its budget to afford restoring the community center (or an actual school.... or anything else for that matter), yet there's an unlimited amount of money that goes towards biweekly parties. Year 2 - Lack of motivation

Hello there.

So, i feel there is a lack of motivation to play on the second year.
I am so rich money means nothing.
I have so much money i dont care about pets anymore, i dont see a reason to keep caring for them.
After finishing bundles, there is no reason to care about fruit trees too.

I got i the upgrades, so there is little motivation to mine.
So what i do is plant and harvest to get even more rich.

Its just me or do you guys feel the need to something more after year 1?

The default forum theme has changed! Oh no! The humanity!

The forums were long overdue for a nice clean new look. We'll also be implementing a dark version of this forum theme for people who are blinded by the light, but that's still in the works.

If you hate change and want the old theme back, you can easily change it by heading to your preferences menu and selecting 'OLD Chucklefish Forums Theme'. See below!

Server CPU Requirements?

Hello Guys,
i own a small Server which has a Dedicated CPU Core from a Intel® Xeon® E5-2620 with 4GB Ram but when i start playing with 2 or even 1 m8 the hole server starts lagging up to the point where the time freezes or the landscape only loads after some time.

now i plan to upgrade the server to a version with 2 Dedicated Intel® Xeon® E5-26xxV3 Cores with 6GB ram and an SSD because these version is even cheaper than my old one xD


But the main question is how many CPU i need to...

I honestly felt that the in game skills were to condensed. For example the Farming skill encompasses the growing of crops, the production of artisan goods, and the growth and care of animals. I think it would expand the experience of the game if skills like farming weren't so condensed. Now this might just be my love of overly complicated skill systems. I've said this elsewhere, but I'd like other player feedback on it. Perhaps there should be more danger exploring oceans and other oxygenless environs? It seems like unlimited oxygen removes some of the sense of wonder and accomplishment of finding things. Perhaps allowing us to upgrade the time we spend without oxygen might feel more satisfying?

(Not sure if this is the correct place to post this)
(Thanks to BoffoBoy and dk2020 for discussing the finer points of editing xnb files and for wards_krypton for making the 15x15 greenhouse.)

After looking through the 15x15 greenhouse mod page and learning some things, I quickly threw together a bigger greenhouse that spawns you in at the correct spot. This one is 27x27 which covers my current needs. I randomly picked that number but I'm keeping that for now....

I wanted to make them bigger and less disappointing (finally being able to enter Secret Forest or Sewer and seeing literally nothing impressing?!) but without giving the player much advantage (like teleporting to desert or sth like that).
