Access Violation error problems

I recently bought this game (Yesterday, to be exact) and have not been able to open it at all. I can get to the launcher, but after hitting launch, I get the same consecutive error. It never changes. I've done everything I've found on the forums. I've Deleted the packed.pak, verified, to no avail. I've re installed countless times. moved folders, deleted files, messed with configs, switched cores. I've done anything that I've seen on the forums that could work (Please don't suggest...

I have had this problem for 4 days, and no fix that I've found on here has done diddly squat. I will post a log, and I would appreciate it if it's read carefully. I don't completely understand all of this yet, but I've looked at this log long enough to notice differences between mine and people who seem to have a very similar issue to mine.

Crashing upon moving on desert planets

So I have been playing the stable update and so far no problems until I started exploring desert worlds. I can beam down to the planet and idle. However the moment I start moving in a direction the game crashes with no error message. On rare occasions I can actually explore the planet with no problems but out of the past 7 desert planets only 2 of them have I been able to actually go around the planet. This occurrence is more frequent on desert planets so far but I have run into a forest planet...

I was playing on a server and I realized people having cigars and I looked up how to get one, I didn't find one nor a mod having what looked like what they had. The Server is un modded so might someone explain this item to me? IS it a custom made item? How can I get one?

I think that there should be planet types that are alive, and when you go inside them their immune system attacks. As you can see, I only have a vague idea of what this could be.

Game stops responding on start up

Whenever I attempt to start my game in x64 it stops working and crashes. These are the last few lines in my log file immediately after it crashes.

I read somewhere to delete my universe folder, but that didn't fix my problem. Any help would be much appreciated!

Can't get back to Moon base mission... it bugged

Hey, so recently I got back into starbound after the big recent update.
And I did all the quests to unlock the quest get the crystals to fix your FTL drive. And that quest takes you to the moon base.
I was part way through the base mission, when I had to go and i left the game, assuming it would take me back to where I was. But instead when I came back I was back on my ship above the gate to the outpost. And when I went back to the outpost I couldn't find the quest do send me back.
Please help...

Does Leather no longer drop? I'm stumped.

I've hunted monsters for several hours, have tons of meat, yet not a single unit of leather.
One of the quests asks for it, which is why I thought it worth mentioning.

The other quests I'm sure I'll run across eventually, but the leather, which I thought would be the easiest, turns out to be otherwise.

Tried the various bows, tried hunting knife.
Noticed that some monsters drop shell and cell, so perhaps only mid-tier monsters drop leather?

Back when the game first came out, I was super pumped to play. Both me and my community took to the creative side of the game and we had a blast. We fooled around, built stuff (A space station at one point) and made costumes out of cosmetic items. I went with the rainbow items (Hood and cape back then) and even made up a title for myself "Disciple of the Rainbow". (As cheesy as that sounds). The butterfly boost was pretty much the selling point for me with that.

So I was wondering if we might...

Any chance to get the butterfly boost back?

Dear Chucklefish Devs,

First off I want to say that this game is fantastic and has so much potential. For the last year I have run a notorious starbound community with a dedicated server, but at this point the server stability is absolutely horrid on Linux64. Since the new update a dedicated box appears to continuously lock up the starbound instance above 30 Player slots

This is a personal and community request to please focus some of your development resources towards making multiplayer...
